Brightons Premier League fixture against Newcastle United rescheduled

Brighton’s pursuit of qualifying for Europe through the Premier League will reach a climax next month, which includes confirmed fixtures against three of the current top six in the table.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side have seen their postponed game away to fourth-placed Newcastle United rescheduled for Thursday, May 18. The home match against champions Manchester City, which was also postponed, has yet to be rearranged.

The fixture at home to Southampton has been moved back 24 hours from Saturday, May 20 to Sunday, May 21.

Brighton launch a hectic and challenging run-in away to league leaders Arsenal on Sunday, May 14. Their campaign ends two weeks later at sixth-placed Aston Villa.

It means De Zerbi’s team, as well as their own destiny, will have a big say in the title race and qualifying for the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.

Brighton are next in action on Sunday when they face Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals.
