In tonight’s FBI: Most Wanted episode, Special Agent Ray Cannon was spending his time at his girlfriend when work called. He got called to the scene of a double homicide. The victims were both cops. They were also father and son. They were enjoying a day together at the rec center when they returned to their car and the car blew up.

It was remotely detonated. The car seen fleeing the scene in the aftermath was suspicious. The local cops thought that this person might flee the state. Hence they brought in the FBI. Ray along with his team caught this case. They put together a man hunt. The only thing they didn’t know was why. Why did someone bomb Michael O’Hearn’s car?

They didn’t care about killing his son Matthew as well. Whatever one or the other did – its bad. It was mentioned earlier that they were both cops. Michael was retired. He retired about nine years ago after he had an affair with a co-worker.

He was in traffic enforcement the whole time. Or at least that’s what he told his wife. He told his son a different story. His son went on to become a cop because he said his father was a hero to him. It didn’t sound like he spent his whole career in traffic violations. And so what really happened?

The FBI checked. There was no record of Mike in traffic enforcement. There was also a second bombing and it again involved a cop that was supposedly working in traffic enforcement.

Only there was no record of that guy either. They were both involved in something off the books. It turns out they were secretly involved in the department’s Counterterrorism Unit. This unit was brought together after 9/11. They were a ghost squad. No one was supposed to know that they were using enhanced interrogation techniques on people they arrested.

Meaning torture. These men were given means to legally torture people to keep New York safe. This unit ended several plots after 9/11 and they stopped any other terrorist attack from taking place.

Now, someone was hunting them for what they did. The third person a part of the ghost squad told the feds everything. He could be in danger as well. They put him under guard where he could be safe. The feds were able to piece together how the bombs were connected. They were all made by Jalla Osman. She was a Turkish national that created the bomb used in Europe three weeks ago.

Osman was dangerous. The team went looking for her. She cleared out of her rental. She also ditched the car they were driving. Osman was working with an older man.

He was arrested by the ghost squad for having put together a chemical bomb. They were able to identify him as Kamal Burke. They just didn’t see the connection between the two. He was deported after being in prison for eighteen years. He should never have been allowed back into the United States. He must have snuck in. Osman too. They weren’t supposed to get into the country.

When Kamal was leaving, Ray Cannon Sr escorted him to his final destination. He was another cop. Ray’s father had all the answers they needed. He remembered Kamal.

He remembered that he was tortured with sleep deprivation as well as beatings. But what broke Kamal was hearing his daughter’s screams on tape. His daughter Jalla was begging for help. She too was being tortured by the Americans at five years old. Kamal broke down after hearing his daughter cries for help. He was then transferred to a prison. Ray Sr. contacted that prison and they said Kamal wasn’t there.

Ray Sr. then contacted the NYPD. They denied having any officers by that name. The lieutenant he spoke to then went on a rant about terrorists and them getting what deserved. The whole thing never sat right with Ray Sr. He didn’t think people should disappear into the system. Only his hands were tied.

He didn’t know that Kamal and his daughter were looking for him until they showed up at his door. Ray Sr. surprised Kamal. He pulled a gun on Kamal. Kamal was holding flower arrangements that hid a bomb and his daughter will detonate it if she hears gunshots from inside the house.

Ray Jr ran into the house. He wanted to be there for his dad if something happens. He also tried to talk down Kamal. Kamal had come close to killing him in Brooklyn but he was the wrong Ray Cannon.

He wanted the man that stood by while he was being tortured. While his young daughter was being tortured. He wanted to hear what they would do if it had been his son that was tortured. Junior told him that sins of the father should not be the sins of the son. He talked Kamal down. He got Kamal to talk his daughter down.

They were both arrested.

Afterwards, Ray spoke with his dad. His dad was still full of regret only he knew what would help in bringing back hope. Ray took his dad to meet up with his girlfriend and her son. They all played bowling together.

THE END!
