In September 2021, four months after the birth of Honey James, the “Duck Dynasty” star shared that her baby girl was sick with a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
The actress turned podcaster shared a picture with her daughter which appeared as a hospital bed.
She expressed her heartbreak, gratitude, and faith amid the ordeal. She also asked for prayers and support from her followers and friends.
The actress wrote that the past few days had been very tough. Watching your child sick is one of the most heartbreaking things.
“Seeing her little struggle brings me to tears as I have never cried, but seeing her strength has given me smiles I have never smiled,” added the doting mom.
However, it should be noted that Honey James recovered soon after and went home within a week. Furthermore, the little girl, who is now two years old, appears to be doing well since then.
Soon after welcoming their first child, Sadie and her husband Christian announced the happy news on social media, posting adorable photos of their family of four.
Sadie said Haven was a “miracle” and a “gift from God.” She also praised Honey for being a loving and protective big sister. Sadie said she was overwhelmed by the joy and love that filled their home.
Sadie Robertson Pleaded For Help For Young Cancer Patient
Sadie Robertson, a proud mother of two daughters, urged her Instagram followers to help a 4-year-old girl who has a rare and aggressive cancer.
On 19 November, the podcast host posted a photo of herself with her two daughters and said she prayed for a mother who needed a miracle for her child.
She revealed that the young patient’s name is Nora Kay Meredith and that she has hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma (HSTCL), a type of cancer that affects the spleen, liver, and blood.
Robertson said that the girl required a bone marrow transplant to survive and that she had attended a bone marrow drive for her at her dance school.
The actress also added that the girl received treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The Duck Dynasty star encouraged her followers to register and swab their cheeks to see if they were a match for Nora or anyone else who needed a bone marrow transplant.
She said it was a simple and painless process and that adults between 18 and 40 were eligible. She also asked them to text FIGHT4NORAKAY to 61474 for a swab kit.
She appealed to her followers to use social media for good and to find a match for Nora. She also shared that she grew up near where Nora lived in Northern Louisiana.
