Sea Eagles chairman sells up

SCOTT Penn is looking for more than $4 million for his designer Manly weekender on the beachfront.

He and his wife Nicola bought the sub-penthouse in Waillea as a weekender hoping to relax near the beach and surf regularly.

Nicola said yesterday they loved the three-bedroom apartment and the location but Scott was overseas so much and their sons so caught up with weekend sport the family were not spending as much time at the property as they hoped.

Scott is the chairman and co-owner of the Sea Eagles and heads up a health company. She said he has won some more business contracts in the UK and USA and is travelling more than before and their sons are busy with school rugby and fencing.

``We love Manly and will probably buy back into the suburb once the boys have left school,'' Nicola said.

Large and sophisticated, the sub-penthouse lounge and dining room.

Waillea is a Susan Rothwell designed block on North Steyne and it houses the most expensive apartment ever bought in Manly. The two penthouses, above the Penns, were bought by one buyer and joined to make a super apartment which sold for $12.2 million in December 2008 off the plan.

The Penns sub-penthouse is on the third floor with lift access. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a double garage. Anthony Calcacoci, of Belle Property Manly, said the block was a real benchmark for Manly and the sub-penthouse covered 251sqm of floorspace and enjoyed 180 degree views. It is for sale for more than $4 million.
